Circuits Inspired Art

To create art using this style you will need:
Gesso (or white paint from the scrap section of a hardware store)
Acrylic paints
Ink (black)
Pastel or Conte Crayon
Steel wool
Other miscellaneous supplies

Instructions and process below

My Process:
White paint on the background for gesso (and to strengthen the paper)
Splattered some more for texture
Used watered down black paint and ink in the back ground
Tipped the paper to get the drips in the background
Did the same with other paint
Steel wool creates texture
Repeat steps
Added white pastel and Conte Crayon on top to create the white

Alternative Art/Drawing Lesson:
Discuss what drawing is/can be
Why can't you draw with paint and steel wool?
What new material can you use?
Or what old material can you use in a new way?

To use as an art therapy lesson:
Discuss why the person created the shapes, pattern, image or design they did
Discuss the use of specific colors
Ask how they feel when creating art
Do they like the process or the final piece?
What does the final piece make them think about?
